More from Calgary...

A few more pictures from our Conference:
Our awesome seats. Slightly less important than the food left over from breakfast... chuckle.

Pretending to be a grown up.  Right after this she crawled over to someone and started praying for them. Not really.

What the conference looked like for our kids.  Trying to escape.

Swimming break!

The beautiful city of Calgary

Bridge into Calgary.

We had a great time with our friends Ang and Brock! Ang and Aidan decorated Oreos together- her idea. She's going to make a fantastic mom some day.

And of course, a trip to a big city wouldn't be complete without a visit to Ikea.

Road Trip

On Tuesday afternoon we headed out on a road trip to Calgary for Foursquare Canada's National Pastor's Conference.  We're looking forward to the next couple of days of reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones.

For your viewing pleasure, here's a few (pretty random) shots from our trip.

Gotta get a haircut to look respectable before we take off.

And we're off!

Notice all the toys in her lap to keep her from crying...

Getting gas.

scenery and dirty van window.

Finally. And not a moment too soon. (for both the bathrooms and coffee)

Lovely visit and overnight stay with family. :)

Day 2 detour to check out Scott's Christian Bookstore.

Calgary! See it?!?

Just Do It

I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm just going to throw that out there. So I figured why not I'm going to go for it. Hence the Just Do It, Awesome four sentences in and I already tied in my title. Having a pretty great weekend, it's amazing how the weather changing can affect your mood and over-all mental health. I am so happy spring appears to be here to stay, at least for a little while. Elizabeth posted a bunch of pictures just below me, go ahead and scroll down check it our they are pretty awesome pictures, my wife is truly talented and beautiful.

I consider myself blessed to have a wonderful wife, awesome kids, and the privilege to pastor a church that is so passionate and hungry to follow the will of God. God has truly blessed me with all these things. God has blessed me in other areas too, but those three are my favorite. I often wonder why me. Most people wonder that, even question God when things are going wrong. I ask that because I feel like there are other people who deserve such blessings more than I do. I wish I had an insightful answer for this like my beautiful wife often does. I don't have an answer, maybe better not to.

I just want to acknowledge God's unmerited favor for bringing my family through all the trouble we have faced for the last 5 years. A lot of the messes we got ourselves into, but God, rich in His mercy, still delivered us from them.

Goodnight everyone.
She is too cute

A Spring Walk

We've gotten to have a mostly relaxed Saturday today, which doesn't happen very often!

Trevor and Aidan started off going to men's breakfast, and then Aidan got to go with his Auntie Jenn to her school to set up her classroom for school to reconvene after Spring break.  Later, we went on a leisurely spring walk with friends on the Dawson Trail.

Here's some pictures:

The party sets out.

All bundled up!

Recent Sewing Projects

This is our family blog, so we'll have different types of posts on here from time to time.

Sometimes Trevor will write a little something, but mostly I'll be posting pictures and updates of different happenings in the family. :)

You probably know by now that I've been learning to sew, so I'll post pictures every once in a while of my newest completed projects.

Here's some from the past couple weeks:

Ainsley's Easter Dress. Sorry about the side view.

Nana and Papa Visit

Living far away can get pretty tough sometimes. Especially since we don't get to see family as often.  We were eagerly anticipating this past weekend because we knew we would be having a visit from two of our favorite people- Nana and Papa!

Aidan wanted to do something special for Nana and Papa so we painted them a little something.

We made a birdhouse for Nana

And a pen holder for Papa.

When Nana and Papa arrived, they didn't disappoint! They brought Aidan a big boy bike!

They did all kinds of Nana/Papa things like feeding Ainsley chocolate cake...

And playing Candyland!

Thanks, Nana and Papa for making the drive all the way up here to see us.

We love you!
